We recommend that you obtain a copy of your credit report from all three credit bureaus before coming for the appointment. You are eligible to receive a complimentary copy of your reports annually from the following website:www.annualcreditreport.com. In this connection, please note that your credit report is NOT a substitute for your own financial records inasmuch as it likely contains errors as well as insufficient information. The credit report, however, is a good way to refresh your memory about old and forgotten debts. Please also bring the following to the consultation:
- Copies of all bills and debt obligations owed by you;
- Copies of your most recent tax returns for the past two years;
- Copies of all pay stubs or other evidence of income for the past six months;
- Copies of all auto, boat, and motorcycle titles or memorandum titles, as the case may be;
- Copies of all recorded mortgages on real property owned by you;
- Copies of all recorded deeds on real property owned by you; and
- A list of your assets, including checking, savings, and IRA accounts.
